SCIENTIFIC WRITING LEARNING BASED ON DEEP DIALOGUE/CRTITICAL THINKING

ABSTRACT: The problems usually found in scientific writing leaning in higher institution are to find, choose, specify, and develop the topic. In current semesters, the writer implemented deep dialogue/critical thinking (DD/CT) technique to guide the students solving those problems. The developed principles in DD/CT are, moreover, the presence of two ways communication and the best take-give principle, building equality and trust between lecturer and students, and high empathy. So, DD/CT contains democratic and ethic values to show the idea in systematic way.

The focus of analysis in CC/CT approach is concentrated on finding out knowledge and experience through deep dialogue and critical thinking.  Based on three cycles in a classroom action research, it was found: (1) DD/CT could improve enthusiasm along the scientific writing leaning process; (2) DD/CT could optimize the students’ intellectual potency to find, choose, specify, and develop the topics through good rule and format; (3) Students’ mentality, emotion, and spirituality developed along dialogue process; (4) the lecturer and students could function as good listeners, speakers, writers, and thinkers; and (5) this learning model can be implemented in daily life because of focusing on value, attitude and sportiveness. In conclusion, learning based on DD/CT can improve students’ had skill and soft skill in scientific writing, even in oral communication.

GENDER DISPARITY IN AYAT AYAT CINTA (AAC) NOVEL BY
HABIBURRAHMAN EL SHIRAZY AND PEREMPUAN BERGKALUNG SORBAN (PBS) NOVEL BY ABIDAH EL KHOLIEQY:  GENDER ANALYSIS STUDY FEMINIST LITERARYCRITICISM

ABSTRACT: Chosen Ayat-ayat Cinta (AAC) novel by Habiburrahman El Shirazy and Perempuan Berkalung Sorban (PBS) Novel by Abidah El Shyrazy because it is written by two different authors gender. This research problem is formulated as follows: How is the implementation of the gender imbalance in the domestic space, in a public space, the causes of gender inequality and gender inequality resolution models. The approach used gender analysis and feminist literary criticism. Sources of data two novels written by male authors and female, namely AAC and PBS. In this study, the researcher acted as the main instrument. Data was collected and analyzed through the steps (1) read the heuristic and hermeneutical, (2) registering data, (3) classifying the data, (4) interpreting the data, and check the validity of the data.

Based on data analysis concluded: (1) forms of gender inequalities in domestic space in the form of a novel AAC violence (violent) and the physical form lug whipng and psychological violence (mental distress), whereas in the novel form stereotip PBS, a disproportionate burden, physical violence, sexual, and psychological, subordinate women, and marginalization (2) forms of gender inequality in public spaces in AAC form of abuse and mistreatment in public, whereas in the tradition of dichotomous PBS steriotip and marginalization of women who are rooted in society, (3) causes of gender inequality in the novel AAC is patriarchal and capitalist ideology that was deflected in destiny and humanitarian appeals, while. in the novel idelogi patriakhi PBS is clearly and consistently, and (4) model in solving the gender imbalance in the form of a novel AAC placement of women in inferior positions, until the end of the story and the superior position of male, female characters do not fight. As in the novel PBS, the model resolution of the problems of gender imbalance against women is a women's resistance to the ideology of patriarchy through discussion/logical thinking and working hard. At the end of the story, she was successfully placed on a more equal with men.
